Experience Sharing Studio
2026 Research Project
Experience Sharing Studio (ESS) is a research project that records and replays embodied experiences through spatial video, haptics and body-pose data.
Recorded poses provide spatial guidance, while playback responds to the participant’s movements. The project explores sharing embodied knowledge across activities including physical exercise and tea ceremony.
Presented at SIGGRAPH 2026 Emerging Technologies in July 2026. Kohei Kobayashi developed LED-floor systems and produced the floor imagery and haptic content.
